This past January, PCG Digital Marketing (PCG) delivered holiday gifts to children at Monmouth Medical and the team made yet another stop to the floor in June to donate more.</p>
<p>Through email blasts to their staff and the power of social media, PCG employees spread the word to colleagues and friends to gather gifts for the children at Monmouth Medical. After about a month of collecting, PCG employees made their donation to the hospital.</p>
<p>The team delivered toys, games, arts and crafts projects as well as children’s DVDs. PCG Digital Marketing looks forward to their continued relationship with The Children’s Hospital at Monmouth Medical.</p>
<p>“Our team really enjoys collecting for the children at Monmouth Medical,” says Lisa Salabritas, Content Manager at PCG. “Everyone is always so eager to help collect donated items and drop them off for the children. We’ll continue to work with Monmouth Medical in any way that we can to support the pediatric pavilion.”</p>

<p>Monmouth Medical’s Mary Stavola Children&#8217;s Pavilion spans over 26,000 square feet and is the core setting for providing comprehensive care for children from birth through adolescence. The Medical Center is located two blocks from the beach, and a seashore theme is carried throughout the pavilion. More than 100 pediatricians are affiliated with the department&#8217;s attending staff, more than half of whom are subspecialty trained in such areas as pediatric medicine, cardiology, critical care, neurology, pathology, surgery and more.</p>

<p>Employees of <a title="nj seo firm" href="http://www.pcgdigitalmarketing.com/" target="_blank">PCG Digital Marketing</a> in NJ took another short trip down the street to visit their furry neighbors residing at the Monmouth County SPCA.  Christine Rochelle, VP Operations, and a team of PCG employees delivered food, supplies and toys to the animals awaiting their forever home at the Homeward Bound Adoption Center.</p>
<p>Each year, the <a href="http://monmouthcountyspca.org/" target="_blank">Monmouth County SPCA</a> will rescue and care for thousands of animals that are surrendered or found as strays.  In addition to housing and caring for these animals until they are adopted, the facility also runs a full service spay/neuter clinic that provides low cost services to the public.  The MCSPA believes that animal population control is key to preventing animal cruelty and neglect.</p>
<p>MCSPCA receives no federal or state financial assistance. It relies primarily upon the generosity of donors.</p>
<p>This is PCG Digital Marketing’s second visit to the shelter to drop off much needed supplies and food.  The employees have been gathering and storing needed items at their corporate headquarters in Eatontown.</p>
<p>Christine Rochelle, VP Operations is quoted, “It’s great to be able to help an organization like the MCSPCA who bares 100% of the burden of caring for these neglected or surrendered animals.  Even though we can’t help by adopting an animal, our team is happy to help by helping to provide the necessities they need to make their stay at the shelter comfortable.”</p>

<p><em>This will be a series of articles because buying a CRM is a <strong>massive</strong> undertaking.  It requires a lot of research and it requires knowing  exactly what you want.  This series is not intended to help bolster  anyone’s sales or to paint something in a good or bad light.  I wrote  these articles to help dealers know what a CRM is supposed to do and how  to pick one.</em></p>
<p><em>There  are a lot of opinions surrounding CRM and how it should be approached;  this is just mine.  There are also a few good resources you can turn to  for help in either getting back to using your current CRM better or  finding a new CRM.  Autobase has a book called <a href="http://www.autobase.net/Autobase-Releases-Book-Seven-Mo.news&amp;fromurl=L3ByZXNzLXJlbGVhc2VzLmh0bWw%3D">Seven Months to CRM Greatness</a> that I hope they’d send to you if you reached out to them (it is a bit dated and 101, but it is something to get started with). </em></p>
<p><em>Consultants like <a href="http://kainautomotive.com/">David Kain</a>, <a href="http://www.edealersolution.com/">Jennifer Suzuki</a>, and <a href="http://www.dealerknows.com/">Joe Webb</a> are fantastic resources when it comes to CRM.  These people work with a  bunch of different systems and usually know a great deal about each  one.  Your current provider’s support and account management/training  staff is also a great resource for redeploying or advancing your current  CRM solution.</em></p>
<p><em>I hate to say this, but I have been through a lot of CRM sales  pitches and in 90% of the experiences I’ve had the sales representative  was not working in my best interest.  If this series does its job you  will know what to look for the next time you are sitting down with a CRM  sales representative. <p>The Automotive SEM Study is the follow-up to the successful <a href="http://www.automotiveseostudy.com/" target="_blank">Automotive SEO Study</a> that was conducted in 2010. This FREE 8 week program will guide car dealers through the proper  setup, execution, and measurement of paid advertising campaigns. For the study, we will be primarily focusing on <strong>Google Adwords</strong> and <strong>Facebook paid advertising</strong> campaigns.  We will discuss Yahoo/Bing PPC but due to time constraints we can&#8217;t deep dive into all four in 8 weeks.</p>
<p>Registration opened on December 27, 2010 and will end by January 31, 2011 or sooner as space fills.  Dealers need to understand how to inspect their PPC campaigns and to optimize the <a title="Automotive Advertising" href="http://www.automotive-advertising.net" target="_blank">automotive advertising</a> expenses.  The  study will also be showing dealers how to setup A/B testing for your PPC  landing pages and microsites to improve conversion.</p>
<p>No previous experience with Google Adwords is needed.   Members of  the study must commit to participating each week with homework  assignments and campaign management tasks.  2-3 hours of independent  work a week will be required of all study members.  Each week there will  be a live webinar for teaching, coaching, and questions that will be  60-90 minutes.  If you can commit to that workload, please don&#8217;t  sign-up.</p>
<p>Members should have authority or permission from your dealership to  setup a PPC campaign and have a budget to run the campaigns. If you have  never run a Google Adwords campaign in the past, request a budget of  $1,000 a month for the two month course.  100% of that budget is for  your ads, there is no commission or fees associated with your campaign.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It has been a few months now since Google has integrated Google Places data and &#8220;star reviews&#8221; to Google Page One organic search results.  The impact of this change can best be seen for broad shopping phrases like &#8220;Bradenton Used Cars&#8221; or &#8220;Baltimore Honda Dealers&#8221;.  Since this change occurred, I had never witnessed examples where the &#8220;block&#8221; of Google Places enhanced listings was interrupted by non Google Places listings.</p>
<p>To date, I had documented cases where you can have normal organic listings before the Google Places &#8220;block&#8221; or after the &#8220;block&#8221; but until now, the section of listings was unbroken with traditional organic listings not associated with Google Places.  In the example below, the &#8220;red&#8221; block of Google Places listings are interrupted by the &#8220;green&#8221; block of non-Google Places listings.</p>
<h2>A More Democratic Page One SERP</h2>
<p>Today I saw something new; Page One results were mixed with enhanced listings from Google Places and normal organic listings.  The former &#8220;block&#8221; of Google Places listings was interrupted by normal organic listings.  In this case, one of those results was an exact matching domain to the search phrase queried, shown in yellow.</p>

<p>The boxed area in RED are listing associated with domain names that are included in Google Places.  The areas in GREEN are organic listings on domains not associated with Google Places.  I am very glad to see this SERP because it reinforces my belief that microsites, non-primary dealer websites, will still be effective and visible is common automotive search phrases.</p>
<h2>Google Places Is Not The Only Defense</h2>
<p>There was some fear that only domains listed in Google Places would dominate organic search results but this example shows that Google is tweaking their formula still.</p>
<p>In the example above, you can see how a business PRIMARY  website that appears in Google Places can be enhanced with <strong>additional microsites and marketing websites</strong>, if they can be optimized for popular local search phrases.   Creating a website on www.bradentonusedcars.org is a good application of a dealer microsite for a local city search phrase for used cars.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll keep an eye out for the changes in organic search results but it looks like Google is still refining the SERP model.  Third party advertising platforms, like www.usedcars.com which is shown above, should be happy with this update to the SERP display.</p>
