Irvine BMW came to use in the Fall of 2007 with a Dealerskins website platform that was primarily constructed with Adobe Flash technology. The website was not showing up for many common search phrases in Google except for a direct search using the words "Irvine BMW".
Our approach was to create some effective lead generation website for Irvine that would eventually compensate for the lack of natural ranking for the Dealerskins website. The results of this case study are being recorded approximately six months after the launch of the website, April 2008.
The main microsite we created is located at www.bmwcalifornia.net and today the website shows on Google page one for hundreds of search terms for BMW cars in California and Orange County.
As of April 2008, the new website has a Google PageRank of 3/10 and their existing website which has been around for years has a PageRank of 4/10. So you can see how quickly good web designs can be respected by Google.
Our new "search engine friendly" website located at www.bmwcalifornia.net is not printed on any business cards or brochures. It is not used for radio or newspaper ads. The only way people find this website is via organic search and the phone number of this website is unique, so all lead calls can be tracked back to the website's organic marketing plan.
In March 2008 the website delivered over 180 phone calls and email leads to the dealership. Their marketing costs in February and March for this website were zero. Our website design placed Irvine BMW on Google Page One for hundreds of common search terms including:

We are created a used car sub-domain to attract direct used car sales leads. We created http://used.bmwcalifornia.net for this sole purpose and the initial results from the search engines are promising. Google Page One results for:

For Irvine BMW we implemented both microsites and sub-domains to aggressively attack organic search in their PMA.
